Materials:

  • Fenugreek pods
  • Yellow Mustard
  • Pickle spice
  • Asafoetida
  • Fennel
  • Turmeric
  • salt
  • water
  • Oil
  • jaggery
  • Cloves, black pepper powder

Action:

  • To make pickle from fenugreek pods, first, wash the pods and cut them into medium-sized pieces and remove the outer skin.
  • Heat water in a pot and add salt to it and cook it by adding fenugreek pods on top. Do not overcook the pulses.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add yellow mustard seeds to it. Then add hing, fennel powder, turmeric and jaggery and melt the jaggery completely with a spoon.
  • Then add pickle masala, red chilli, turmeric and salt to taste and fry in masala oil. This will not spoil the pickle quickly.
  • Drain the water from the pods and add the cooked pods to the masala and mix well. After cooling the prepared pickle, keep it in a jar.
  • Ready is the spicy pickle of fenugreek pods made in a simple way. This pickle keeps well for a week.
