Chhath Fast Study: There is much celebration of Chhath festival across the country where this fast, celebrated with devotion and faith, has ended today. During Chhath Puja, fasting women and men worship Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. Here, on the last day of Chhath Puja, the fast is concluded after offering Usha Arghya. Here, during Chhath Puja, a strict waterless fast of 36 hours is observed on the last day of the four-day Chhath festival. Sunrise on 28th October – Usha Arghya time at 6.30 am (according to Delhi time)
Time of breaking Chhath Vrat – It can be done any time after offering Arghya to the rising Sun at the time of sunrise.
Information about the contents of Chhath Vrat Udyapan is given here. Ingredients like two bamboo baskets, fruits (banana, dabh lemon, custard apple), thekua, kasar (rice laddu), sugarcane, sweet potato, suthani, betel nut, betel nut, turmeric, vermillion, roli, incense, lamp and ghee are included in the Udyapan of the fast. To offer Arghya to the Sun God, a pot, milk and water are also required.
