Netflix has just confirmed that a series, hailed by viewers as a "true masterpiece", is set to return for a second season very soon - and it's adapted from a best-selling manga series.

One Piece first hit Netflix screens in 2023 and quickly became a fan favourite. Based on Japan's highest-selling Manga series ever, penned by Eiichiro Oda, the story follows the adventures of a young pirate named Monkey D. Luffy who embarks on a quest to find a legendary treasure known as the "One Piece".

With dreams of becoming the king of the pirates, he sails the seas with his crew in what has been described as an "epic" and quirky adventure.

One Piece Season 2 will be available on Netflix from March 10, 2026, featuring Inaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Emily Rudd as Nami and Jacob Romero as Usopp.

Netflix has hinted at "fiercer adversaries" and "the most perilous quests yet", promising new dangers lurking around every corner.

The streaming giant teases: "Netflix's epic high-seas pirate adventure, ONE PIECE, returns for Season 2- unleashing fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet.

"Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line-a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world's greatest treasure, they'll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies."

Season 1 skyrocketed in popularity with one viewer hailing it as a "true masterpiece". One Google reviewer exclaimed: "Netflix you've done it this time. wow that's what you call an adaptation."

Another commented: "Just Finished Watching This Absolute Masterpiece. I'm Obsessed with Cast of this Live-action literally!"

Upon its debut back in 2023, the live action series became a massive global phenomenon and spent eight weeks in the top 10, making it to number one in over 75 countries. It currently boasts a top score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Following its comeback with Season 2 in 2026, it's now been confirmed that the live adaptation series has also been given the green light for a third season.
