More than 600 innocent girls…
The name of this queen was Elizabeth Bathory and she was born in a wealthy and influential family of Hungary. She was beautiful and charming, but her cruelty and heartlessness made her one of the most feared women in history. Between 1590 and 1610 he murdered more than 600 virgin girls. Yes, that's right, this queen was married to a man named Ferenc Nadasdy. Who was a national hero of Hungary in the war against the Turks. After marriage, as long as her husband was alive, she continued committing small murders. However, the queen became completely independent after her husband's death in 1604. Elizabeth Bathory committed crimes every day while living in her palace in Chász, Slovakia.
Elizabeth's cruelty began when she felt her skin was drying out and she was aging. She had heard from a prophet that if she bathed in the blood of virgins it would keep her skin young and beautiful. After this he called the poor girls to his palace and started killing them mercilessly. Elizabeth did not do all this alone, but three of her trusted servants also supported her in this terrible crime. Since she was an influential woman, she used to lure innocent girls from poor villages to her palace by luring them with money and good jobs. Once these girls reached the palace it was impossible to return.
Elizabeth initially mistreated these girls. Sometimes she would burn his hands, sometimes she would cut the flesh of his body. Many times she would even gouge out his eyes. When the girl died, her blood was collected in a tub and bathed with it. He believed that by doing this his skin would always remain young. At first no one paid attention to her actions because she belonged to an influential family. But when he killed almost all the poor girls in the area and started targeting girls from rich families as well, people started becoming suspicious of him.
In 1610, the King of Hungary became aware of this heinous crime and ordered an investigation. When investigators raided Elizabeth's palace, they were horrified by the sight there. The bodies of many girls were scattered all over the palace and many were seen imprisoned in a half-dead state.
After this Elizabeth Bathory was arrested. But since she belonged to a high family, instead of being executed or given any other punishment, she was imprisoned in a room in her own palace. It is said that he was confined in a small space surrounded by walls, where there was only a small hole through which food was given to him. Four years later, on 21 August 1614, Elizabeth Bathory died. Some people think that she died of hunger and misery, while others think that she went mad because of her cruelty.
