If you use Fastag while traveling on the highway, there's an important update for you. Now, not only KYC (Know Your Customer) but also KYV (Know Your Vehicle) verification has been made mandatory. The government has implemented this new system to prevent Fastag-related fraud and ensure the correct identification of each vehicle's Fastag. Without KYV verification, your Fastag will not work, and you will have to pay the full toll fee at the toll plaza. Therefore, completing this process on time is crucial. Let's first understand what KYV is.

What is KYV?
KYV stands for Know Your Vehicle, meaning verification of your vehicle. This process ensures that your Fastag is installed on the correct vehicle and is not being misused for another vehicle.

These are the required documents for KYV.
Before completing the KYV process, have a few essential documents ready, such as a digital copy of the vehicle's RC (Registration Certificate), VRN (Vehicle Registration Number), chassis number, and FasTag account details linked to your mobile number. With these documents, you can complete the KYV process from your mobile.

How to complete the KYV process from your mobile?
To do this, first open your banking app or FasTag app.
Then type KYV or FasTag Verification in the search bar.
Now, start the process according to the on-screen instructions.
Follow these instructions:
Upload clear photos of the vehicle taken from different angles.
One photo must show that the FasTag is properly attached to the vehicle's windshield.
Also, upload a scanned copy of the RC.
After filling in all the details, click the Submit / Send button.
This process can take approximately 7 days to complete. You will receive status information via email or SMS.
