India A Captain and Vice Captain: Whenever India participates in any tournament, it becomes the center of attraction. Now another similar tournament is going to be held after a few days, in which Team India is going to be seen. This tournament is Rising Star Asia Cup.
This tournament between Asian teams is to be organized in Doha, Qatar. The Rising Star Asia Cup will be played at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha from 14 to 23 November 2025.

ACC announced the Rising Star Tournament just a few days ago. It is also known as Emerging Asia Cup. This time, the same 8 teams who appeared in Asia Cup 2025 have got a chance in the tournament. That means we will see teams from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh as well as UAE, Oman and Hong Kong participating.
However, ACC had already made it clear that the top 5 teams will not be seen with their main squad but with the A team. For this reason, Team India has also fielded its A squad (India A), which was announced by BCCI on Tuesday, November 4.
BCCI has selected a strong 15-member squad for the Rising Star Asia Cup and has given the responsibility of captaincy to Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. Jitesh has also played for Team India and is currently participating in the 5-match T20 series being held in Australia.
In the third match played in Hobart, Jitesh was given a chance in the playing 11 in place of Sanju Samson and he played an important role in India's victory by playing an unbeaten inning of 22 runs in 13 balls. After this series ending on November 8, Jitesh will be responsible for winning the title for Team India in the Rising Star Asia Cup.
Let us tell you that Jitesh Sharma took command of the team in the absence of regular captain Rajat Patidar in IPL 2025. Whereas, in batting, Jitesh had scored 261 runs in 11 innings at an average of 37.28 and strike rate of 176.35.
All-rounder Naman Dheer, who plays for Punjab in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in IPL, has been appointed as the vice-captain of India A for the Rising Star Asia Cup. Naman impressed a lot by playing some stormy innings in different positions in the IPL. For this reason the selection committee has given him the vice-captaincy.
The 25-year-old all-rounder has been with Mumbai Indians in the IPL for two seasons. So far Naman has played 23 matches in the league and scored 392 runs at a strike rate of 180.64. At the same time, he has not been used much in bowling. For this reason there is not a single success in his account.
Jitesh Sharma (captain and wicketkeeper), Naman Dhir (vice-captain), Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nehal Wadhera, Suryansh Shedge, Ramandeep Singh, Harsh Dubey, Ashutosh Sharma, Yash Thakur, Gurjapaneet Singh, Vijay Kumar Vaish, Yudhveer Singh Charak, Abhishek Porel (wicketkeeper), Suyyash Sharma.
RCB's Jitesh Sharma has been appointed as the captain of India A for the Rising Star Asia Cup.
