Earlier the mini auction was going to be held in India only. But now news is coming that BCCI can take the mini auction outside the country.
BCCI was earlier going to organize the mini auction of the 19th season in the country itself. But now some changes are going to happen in this. The date of mini auction in the month of December coincides with the festivals and wedding season in the country. Due to this the auction can be shifted outside the country. The last few auctions were held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Therefore, it is believed that this time also auction can be organized in Gulf countries.
Before every auction, all the teams have to release the retention list of their players. Which contains the names of all the retained players. According to preliminary information this year, all the teams will have to release their retention list by 15th November. There will be a mini auction after a month. At the same time, there is no information about the place of auction till now. The IPL 2023 auction was held in Dubai and 2024 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Therefore, it is believed that this time also it may happen outside the country.
