This is the only trading holiday for equities in November 2025. According to the trading holiday calendar, the next holiday will be Christmas Day on 25 December. Along with the stock market, currency and commodity trading (morning session) will also remain closed. After November 5th, on Thursday, November 6th stock market Normal operations will resume. The morning session on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will be closed, but the evening session will run as normal, i.e. trading will begin at 5 pm.

When will the stock market close in the future?
In November, the stock market will remain closed on November 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 (all Saturdays and Sundays) for various reasons. All departments on BSE, including Equity, Derivatives, Currency and EGR, will remain closed on these days. Only the commodity market will be open for the evening session, i.e. trading will be closed from 9 am to 5 pm, but business will continue from 5 pm to 11:30 or 11:55 pm.
