Zubeen Garg case: Assam CIC Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta resigns after brother’s arrest for THIS reason

In the mysterious case of Zubeen Garg’s death another twist has come. The Chief Information Commissioner of Assam Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has resigned. This comes after the minister’s brother Shyamkanu Mahanta was arrested in relation to Zubeen’s death. If you’re wondering the reason for the minister’s resignation it is based on moral grounds. Garg was found dead a day before his stage show in Singapore whose organiser was Shyamkanu Mahanta the arrested individual. The case of the Assam singer’s death dates back to September 19 and it seems to be full of black and white layers. The matter is still under investigation.
Why has Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta resigned?
Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta Assams Chief Information Commissioner has resigned on moral grounds. The decision comes after his brother was arrested in connection with Zubeen Gargs mysterious death in Singapore. The ministers brother Shyamkanu Mahanta has been under serious charges of murder culpable homicide criminal conspiracy and killing by a negligent act. In addition two private security guards of the singer Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya have also been arrested until November 11. The reason for the arrest is malicious transactions of over Rs. 1.1 crore.
Zubeen Gargs death
Zubeen Garg passed away on September 19 a day prior to his stage show in Singapore at the age of 52. Initially what was assumed to be a scuba diving accident is unfolding to be a greater mystery. The involvement of several people has come to light after Gargs death.
Police investigation in Zubeens case
The authorities in Singapore in October conducted an autopsy. Later the report of the autopsy was shared with their Indian associates. A special investigation team is still investigating the case as to whatever had happened with the Assamese singer in the last 48 hours because some pharmaceutical drugs were found in his bag.
Now Bhaskar Jyoti Mahantas brother has been arrested in the case. The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma mentioned that a chargesheet will be filed against Shyamkanu Mahanta before December 17 citing Gargs death as a murder and no accident.
