In a major action, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has temporarily attached properties worth ₹11.14 crore of former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan. This action has been taken under PMLA, 2002 in connection with the investigation to the promotion of illegal betting platform 1xBet.

Let us tell you that according to ED, Raina’s mutual fund investments worth ₹ 6.64 crore and Dhawan’s immovable property worth ₹ 4.5 crore have been attached. Both the cricketers are accused of promoting illegal betting apps like 1xBet.

The ED said the investigation is ongoing and a detailed investigation into the financial transactions of both the players is being conducted. More people can be questioned in this case, because activities to betting are against Indian law.
