Mumbai: from Mumbai There is a big and comforting news for metro commuters! Now passengers on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar metro route will be able to search for and purchase tickets directly within the ‘Uber app’. Due to this, the passengers will be able to completely avoid the hassle of ticketing and long queues at the ticket counter. After the success of this service in Delhi and Chennai, Uberthis important initiative has now been implemented in Mumbai in collaboration with Mumbai Metro One (Mumbai Metro One) and ONDC Network (ONDC Network).

Nitin Nair, Senior Executive Director, ONDC Network (Open Network for Digital Commerce) said that metro ticketing integration on Uber app through ONDC network shows the potential of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure. “After Delhi and Chennai, we are happy to offer in-app metro ticketing on Uber to Mumbaikars. This will further strengthen the open digital ecosystem for public transport,” he added.
