Valve has announced a major update to widen the Steam store pages.

The change will see "many pages" being expanded from their current width of 940 pixels to a new width of 1,200 pixels.

The company said the new size strikes a balance between displaying more content without making it difficult for users to navigate through the page.

Pages will automatically adjust if window is narrower
Device compatibility

Valve has also assured users that if their browser or client window is narrower than 1,200 pixels, the Steam store pages will automatically adjust to fit well.

The company said the pages are designed to fit on tablets, Steam Decks, and mobile devices.

They even tested these changes on an old iPod model and found that while it mostly worked, things did get pretty small at times.

Update follows July's Steam Trailer Player improvements
UI enhancements

The latest update comes after Valve's July improvements to the Steam Trailer Player for store pages.

The changes included a more adaptable user interface and reprocessed videos that were designed to work better with the new player.

These updates are part of Valve's ongoing efforts to enhance user experience on its platform.
