Lucknow, 9 November. Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has seriously accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of weakening democracy and promoting irregularities in the electoral process and said that it is necessary to remove the garbage of electoral rigging spread under the BJP rule.

Akhilesh Yadav said on social media platform He said that BJP and its allies do not believe in democracy but in plunder.

From before independence till today, BJP and its allies have always resorted to ‘back door politics’ and ‘intelligence’. He said that now the public has understood their politics of whistleblowing and burglary. Society has now crossed the limit of tolerating scams. The party said that BJP will now have to listen to the ‘people’s knock at the next door’.

The SP chief said that honest and impartial officials are being neglected in a constitutional institution like the Election Commission, while the transparency of the electoral process has been questioned due to the collusion of some officials. The party said that the integrity and reputation of the Commission has been tarnished due to the collusion of officials involved in electoral malpractices, which is the need of the hour to be removed.

He said that corrupt officials and political collusion will continue to be exposed to protect democracy. Such people are hollowing out democracy from within like termites, but now the public is ready to answer them. He said that the new generation will now create a new future and create a system in which true democracy can be established on the foundation of transparency, accountability and honesty.
