Police, paramedics and fire fighters are responding to an ongoing incident in a Scottish village. Emergency services rushed on Monday morning to Cathkin Place in the Whitehirst Park area in Kilwinning.

Police Scotland confirmed officers are currently responding to the incident after being called to reports of a man causing a disturbance. Armed officers were also in attendance, with people living in the area being urged to stay indoors, the Ardrossan Herald reports. The force also set up a police cordon.
