There was a sensation in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Tuesday when a massive explosion shook the entire area. This horrific incident happened right in front of a court in Islamabad, in which 12 people lost their lives and 21 people were seriously injured. This blast spread panic not only in the court premises but also in the entire city.
According to Geo TV report, it was a suicide attack. A car parked outside the court suddenly exploded, engulfing the people nearby. The intensity of this blast was so much that 12 people died on the spot. The injured were immediately taken to nearby hospitals, where their condition is said to be critical. It is not yet clear who is behind this attack and what was its motive.
After the blast, there was a stampede in the court premises. Most of the injured include lawyers and petitioners, who were present in the court at that time. The police immediately evacuated the court and evacuated people safely through the back door. After this incident, all court proceedings were stopped with immediate effect.
