Hashim Amala Viral Post, FACT CHECK : A post to former legendary South African cricketer Hashim Amla is going viral on social media. The post claimed that, Delhi BombsfoAfter that, Amla had said that India is insecure. He also advised the South African players to return from India. But, now this post has been revealed to be fake.
The post linked to Amala also said that Australian women players are being harassed in India and that the ICC should ban cricket in India. This post was shared by a Pakistani user. This post has been viewed by more than 250,000 people and has also been liked and shared by many users.
When this claim was investigated, it was found that this claim is completely false. There is no statement or news to Hashim Amla on any media platform in which he called India insecure. He also did not advise any player to return from India. Hashim Amla’s social media account also did not appear to have any such posts.
Hashim Amla was also spotted at the ‘SA20 India Day 2025’ event in Mumbai along with many other cricketers including Mark Boucher, Graeme Smith, David Miller, Faf du Plessis and Tom Moody. He has always expressed respect and positivity towards Indian cricket.
Hashim Amla recently praised Indian captain Shubman Gill. Appreciating it, he said, “The way Gill is handling the role of both captain and opener reflects his strong personality and brilliant cricketing mind.” Amla believes that Gill can take the Indian team to new heights. His words seem to reflect his positive outlook on cricket in India. So, it is wrong to believe such rumors circulating on social media.
