Family tensions within the Lalu Prasad Yadav household appear to have reached their peak. On Sunday, 16 November, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya published another emotional post, leveling a series of serious allegations against her own family. In her message, she wrote that no home should have a daughter or sister like her, highlighting the pain and humiliation she claims to have faced.

Rohini wrote on social media platform X:

“Yesterday, a daughter, a sister, a married woman, a mother was insulted. I was abused, and even a slipper was raised to hit me. I did not compromise my self-respect, I did not surrender the truth—therefore I had to endure humiliation for this. Yesterday, a daughter was forced to leave her crying parents and sisters behind. I was cut off from my maternal home. I was made an orphan. None of you should ever walk the path I am walking. No household should have a daughter or sister like Rohini.”



In another post she wrote:

“Yesterday, along with abuses, I was told that I am ‘dirty’ and that I gave my father my dirty kidney. They accused me of taking crores of rupees, of taking a ticket in return, and only then donating my so-called dirty kidney.

 

To every daughter and sister who is married, I want to say this: if your parental home has sons or brothers, then never make the mistake of saving your father. Tell your brother—the son of that house—to donate his kidney, or ask one of his friends from Haryana to do it.

 

All daughters and sisters should focus only on their own homes and families. Do not worry about your parents; think only of your children, your work, your in-laws. Think only about yourself.

 

I committed a huge sin—I did not think of my family or my three children. While donating my kidney, I neither consulted my husband nor sought permission from my in-laws. To save my God-like father, I did what today is being called filthy and shameful.

 

Please, never repeat the mistake I made. No household should ever have a daughter like Rohini.”

 

This emotional outburst follows a post she made on 15 November, in which she claimed she was quitting politics and severing ties with her family. In that earlier post, Rohini wrote that she was asked to take this step by Sanjay Yadav and Rameez, and that she was taking all the blame upon herself. Her statement triggered a major political storm across Bihar’s political circles.
