There was a stir in Bareilly on the night of 11-12 September 2025, when two bike-riding attackers opened indiscriminate firing at Disha Patni’s house. During this period about 10 rounds of bullets were fired. At that time Disha’s sister Khushboo Patni, who is a former army officer, and her parents were present at home. It was fortunate that Disha was busy with her work in Mumbai at that time. This attack was so scary that it spread sensation in the entire area.
Jagdish Patni told in the FIR lodged with the police that on the night of the firing his dog suddenly started barking. Suspecting that something was wrong, he went to the balcony, where he saw two bike-riding suspects. When he interrupted, the attackers opened fire on him. Jagdish showed agility and saved his life by lying on the floor. CCTV footage of this incident also came to light, in which the actions of the attackers were clearly visible.
After this dangerous incident, Jagdish Patni expressed concern about his and his family’s safety. He immediately demanded an arms license from the Bareilly district administration. According to a report by Free Press Journal, District Magistrate Avnish Singh said that after all the necessary procedures and investigation, Jagdish Patni has been granted a revolver/pistol license.
