New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a significant development in the Delhi car blast as they arrested a key conspirator from Kashmir related to the case. NIA apprehended Amir, a Kashmiri man, who played a pivotal role in helping the main culprit, Dr Umar Nabi, to execute the blast.

NIA arrested Amir Rashid from Delhi, and the car that was used in the blast, killing 10 people and injuring 32, was registered in Amir’s name. The authority confirmed that he travelled to Delhi to help bomber Nabi in securing the car, which later turned into a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED).

NIA also confirmed that Amir and Umar were involved in the plan together. Forensic analysis declared that the charred body found at the blast site was of Nabi, proving he was the suicide bomber in the blast.

The high authority is regularly coordinating with the Delhi Police, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, Uttar Pradesh Police, and other central units to gather leads related to the blast. NIA also believed that more arrests would progress the investigation and could find the mastermind.

Currently, NIA has inspected 73 witnesses, including survivors, to trace every link to catch the larger network behind the terrorist attack.

NIA believes that there are several people involved in the blast, referring to a large network, who fund, plan, and supply logistics to promote terror activities in India. NIA wants to uncover the group that is responsible for the attack and give justice to the affected.
