Actor Nagarjuna revealed a family member was targeted in a “digital arrest” cyber scam, urging the public to remain vigilant. Hyderabad Police, led by Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar, arrested the i-Bomma website operator amid rising cybercrime concerns.

Hyderabad: Cybercrime incidents continue to alarm even well known families, with actor Akkineni Nagarjuna revealing that a member of his family recently fell victim to cyber fraudsters.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C Sajjanar on the arrest of the i-Bomma website operator, Immadi Ravi on Monday, Nagarjuna said cyber fraudsters had trapped one of his his family members using the deceptive method of digital arrest.
Nagarjuna shared that fraudsters, posing as officials, coerced a family member into believing they were involved in a legal case and forced them into a “digital arrest” trap.
He appreciated the Hyderabad Cybercrime officials for their swift action and urged the public to stay alert and report such calls immediately.
Sajjanar reiterated that cybercriminals are increasingly targeting common citizens as well as celebrities’ families, and stressed the need for awareness to prevent such scams.
The press meet was attended by several prominent film personalities, including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, producers Dil Raju and D Suresh Babu. They extended support to the police for cracking down on online piracy and rising cyber offences.
