Udaipur: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Bollywood filmmaker Vikram Bhatt over alleged fraud linked to a film project. The director, known for hits like Ghulam, Jurm, 1920, Shaapit, and Raaz, has denied the accusations, calling them misleading.

The complaint was filed at Bhupalpura police station by IVF specialist Dr. Ajay Murdia. He alleged that Bhatt’s production company took money to make four films but failed to deliver them as promised. According to the complaint, two films were made but not credited properly, while the most expensive project never went into production.

Udaipur police confirmed that they are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, Bhatt, 56, expressed shock over the allegations. Speaking to ANI, he called the claims of a Rs. 30-crore scam “twisted” and questioned the authenticity of documents suggesting he sought Rs. 200 crore in profit.

Bhatt also raised a critical point, asking why the complainants continued collaborating with him if they truly believed he had cheated them. Their latest project, Tumko Meri Kasam, a biopic on the founder of Indira IVF, was produced by Dr. Murdia himself.

The filmmaker argued that the real problem lies with the complainant’s failure to pay his crew on time. He added that he possesses emails and contracts to substantiate his version of events
