Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most popular footballers in the world. He is well known for his incredible fitness, discipline, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle. People get inspired by his lifestyle and fitness. The footballer made headlines when he revealed how he doesn’t like his son consuming soda. Ronaldo tries to pass his values on to his children for their betterment. One of the clearest examples of this is his strict approach to sugary, carbonated drinks.

Ronaldo once revealed, “Sometimes he drinks soda and it irritates me, he knows that. Sometimes I tell my son to get in some cold water to recover after a run on the treadmill and he says, ‘Dad, it’s cold in there.’ It’s okay, he’s only 10 years old.”

For Ronaldo, discipline isn’t just about training it’s a mindset. He believes that small daily habits shape a person’s future. Letting go of unhealthy drinks and learning to recover properly are part of building that discipline. Even though his son is young, Ronaldo wants him to understand that good choices matter.

As one of the fittest athletes in the world, Ronaldo avoids soft drinks because they are loaded with sugar and offer no real nutrition. He also knows that once children get used to soda, it can quickly become a daily habit that’s hard to break. By being firm now, he hopes to set healthier preferences for the future.

Even though Ronaldo expects discipline, he also understands his son is still a child. While talking about his lifestyle, he said, “It’s okay, he’s only 10 years old.” Ronaldo even shared how he asks his son to use cold showers, eat healthy, and stay fit. Sitting under cold water after a run is a recovery technique that the footballer follows and wants his son to do as well. It’s a lesson in doing hard things. His son may resist, but Ronaldo knows these small steps build resilience, determination, and strength qualities he believes are important both in sports and in life.
