England's captain, Ben Stokes, emphasized that his team will not dwell on their recent loss in the first Test in Perth, which concluded in just two days due to outstanding performances from Australian players. He stated, "As we head to Brisbane, it's vital to regain the mindset we had before this match. We remain confident in our skills and our objectives. It's crucial not to carry any negativity from this outcome," during the post-match press conference.

Praise for Travis Head's Remarkable Performance

Stokes expressed admiration for Travis Head's exceptional innings, describing it as "incredible and special." He noted, "Head had an answer for everything and aggressively challenged our bowlers, which significantly disrupted our strategy."

Australia's Aggressive Chase Ahead of Second Test

The upcoming second Ashes Test is set to commence in Brisbane on December 4, with England looking to equalize the series. During the chase of 205 runs, openers Travis Head and Jake Weatherald took to the crease, while Usman Khawaja opted out of opening once again.

In the early overs, both Head and Weatherald quickly found the boundary, signaling an aggressive approach.

Head hit Brydon Carse for a six over slips and followed it up with a four, raising the intensity of the chase.

Another six from Head over Ben Duckett brought Australia to their 50-run mark in just 9.3 overs.

At the end of 10 overs, Australia stood at 58/0, with Weatherald (18*) and Head (38*) both not out, with Head leading the charge.

Even Mark Wood's fast deliveries were unable to contain Head's aggressive batting.

The partnership reached 75 runs before Carse broke through, dismissing Weatherald for 23 runs off 34 balls.

Head reached his half-century in a mere 36 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes.

In the 17th over bowled by Stokes, Head unleashed a series of boundaries, scoring 17 runs and bringing up the 100-run mark in just 16.3 overs.

Marnus Labuschagne joined Head in this display of aggressive batting, turning England's 'Bazball' strategy against them, even taking on Jofra Archer, who conceded 16 runs in his 19th over.

After 20 overs, Australia was at 136/1, with Head (92*) and Labuschagne (18*) not out, having formed a 61-run partnership, with Head contributing 43 runs.

Head continued his assault, reaching his century in just 69 balls, marking the second-fastest century in Ashes history, following Adam Gilchrist's 57-ball century in Perth in 2007.

In his innings of 123 runs, Head struck 16 boundaries and four sixes.
