New Delhi: Ayodhya is preparing for a major spiritual and administrative moment as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Ram Mandir on November 25 for a ceremonial flag hoisting. The day holds cultural importance because it marks the traditional celebration of Ram Vivah in the Hindu calendar. With increased movement of officials, guests and security teams, the temple town has issued updated visitor norms that affect darshan timings and entry access.
Devotees planning a trip to Ayodhya are advised to check the revised schedule before travelling, as the Trust has reserved the first half of the day for the event and restricted general entry until the afternoon. Hotels, transport hubs and nearby pilgrim routes are expecting heavy footfall, with several advisories issued for crowd management. The updated timings aim to ensure a smooth ceremony for more than 7,500 guests along with thousands of visitors who will arrive later in the day.
The Trust has announced that the temple will remain inaccessible to general devotees through the morning. Only invited guests with QR-coded passes will be allowed inside the premises. The restriction has been introduced to manage security arrangements for the ceremony attended by dignitaries.
Regular darshan for the public will begin after 2:30 pm on November 25. Due to an expected surge in visitors, timings may extend late into the night. Devotees travelling from other cities have been advised to plan for longer queues and adjusted temple routes.
The day after the event will have an extended darshan window of nearly 15-16 hours. No VIP pass system will be active, allowing uninterrupted access for the public. The schedule has been designed to accommodate travellers arriving after the ceremony.
The daily aarti schedule continues with Mangala Aarti at 4:30 am, Shringaar Aarti at 6:30 am, Rajbhog Aarti at 11:30 am, Sandhya Aarti at 7:30 pm and Shayan Aarti at 9:30 pm. Visitors planning same-day travel can align their itinerary with these timings.
Darshan and aarti passes can be obtained from the Trust’s official portal, subject to availability. Visitors must submit ID details and download the QR-based digital pass. Booking may be paused temporarily around the event due to security requirements.
Authorities recommend reaching Ayodhya a day earlier to avoid congestion on the event morning. Public transport and shuttle services are encouraged, while travellers are advised to carry limited luggage. Continuous updates are being issued through official channels for crowd and route management.
Ayodhya is anticipating its highest visitor flow of the month as preparations intensify for the PM’s arrival. The updated temple timings aim to balance ceremonial arrangements and pilgrim convenience, helping devotees plan their visit efficiently.
