If you’re bored of making regular rice every day, here’s a different and tasty recipe for you: Methi Matar Pulao. The pulao is made by mixing fenugreek and peas, which is incredibly tasty. Let’s learn how to make it:
Basmati rice – 1 cup
Cloves – 2
Fenugreek – 1 cup
Cardamom – 2
Onion – 1, finely chopped
Peas – 1/2 cup
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon – 1 small piece
Big cardamom – 1
Cumin – 1 teaspoon
Bay leaf – 1
Salt – to taste
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Water – 2 cups
Ghee or oil – 2-3 tablespoons
Step 1- First of all, you have to wash the rice and then soak the rice in water for 20 minutes and also wash the fenugreek leaves and chop them finely.
Step 2- Heat a pan and add ghee or oil. Add cloves, cumin seeds, black cardamom, cardamom, cinnamon, and bay leaves.
Step 3- Then, add the ginger, onion, and garlic paste and cook for a while, then cover and let it simmer. Then, add turmeric and fenugreek leaves and continue cooking.
Step 4- Then, add the rice and mix everything well. Add water and salt, cover, and cook. Once cooked, sprinkle with coriander leaves and serve.
