Karachi: Social media influencer Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has clarified that the price of her wedding lehenga was not in crores and she only misspoke out of excitement.

Recently the newlywed became the center of attention and criticism after people discussed the cost of her bridal jewelry and lehenga.

To address the situation she released a video statement explaining everything.

Dr. Nabiha said that sometimes in moments of joy people say things that sound exaggerated.

“I also mistakenly mentioned crores instead of lakhs” she admitted.

Dr. Nabiha who married her longtime friend who is several years younger than her added that people turned her slip of the tongue into a joke even though it was nothing more than a simple mistake.

Laughing at the situation she said, “Even if I wear a dress worth one crore fifty crores or even two hundred and fifty crores why does it bother anyone?”

In the end she advised people to stay positive instead of stressing over minor things.

“Learn to be happy instead of taking tension over small issues” she said.

For context Dr. Nabiha had earlier claimed that her jewelry set weighed one kilogram and cost 1.5 crore rupees and her lehenga was also said to be worth 1 crore rupees.

These claims led to heavy criticism on social media with many people questioning the authenticity of the prices.

Actress and host Mishie Khan also mocked her statement saying

“Even at Ambani’s wedding no one wore a 35-kilogram jewelry set.

Which shop sells 35 kg of gold for 1.5 crore? If such a shop exists we all should buy our gold from there”

She added that gold prices are extremely high these days so such claims make no sense.
