You’ve likely eaten potato fritters, cauliflower fritters, and eggplant fritters, but let’s try something new. Today, we’re going to share a delicious Onion Bread Pakora Recipe. Let’s learn how to make these fritters:
To make Onion Bread Pakora, you will need the following ingredients:
Bread slices – 6
Green chillies – 2 (finely chopped)
Onions – 2 pieces (finely sliced)
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons (chopped)
Turmeric – 1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Chaat masala – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil – for frying
Salt – to taste
Gram flour – 1 cup
Celery seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Rice flour – 2 tablespoons
Water – as needed
Step 1 – First, combine onion slices, coriander, and green chillies in a bowl. Then, add chaat masala, turmeric, salt, and red chilli powder and mix. This will give the flavourful filling bread pakoras a unique taste.
Step 2- Then, cut the bread slices diagonally into two parts. Spread the onion filling evenly on each slice of bread and press it down lightly.
Step 3- Now, combine gram flour, red chilli powder, rice flour, turmeric, salt, and carom seeds in a bowl. Then, add a little water and make a thick, smooth batter.
Step 4 – Then, dip all the bread pieces in the gram flour batter before frying them. The better the coating, the crispier the fritters will be.
Step 5 – Now heat oil in a pan and add the bread pakoras one by one. Keep the heat on medium and fry until golden brown, turning occasionally to ensure both sides are crispy.
Step 6- Now serve this hot onion bread pakora with green chutney, sauce or tamarind chutney.
