Ingredients to make Lachcha Onion
2 large onions (cut into pieces), 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder, half teaspoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, half teaspoon black salt, half teaspoon salt, some finely chopped green coriander, 1 teaspoon vinegar.
How to make Lachcha Onion
- first step: First of all cut the onion in lachha style. To cut the onion in Lachha style, peel it and cut it in half. Now pull the slices from the sides and separate them into thin rings. To make onion crispy, soak it in cold water for 5 minutes. This makes the onion crispy.
- Second step: Now, add onion in a mixing bowl. Add Kashmiri red chilli, chaat masala, black salt and salt to it. Toss well so that the spices coat the onions properly.
- Third step: Now, add the juice of half a lemon and 1 teaspoon white vinegar if desired. This gives the onions a slight sourness and a restaurant shine. Add chopped coriander on top and mix. Cover and leave for 2–3 minutes so that the masala sets properly.
