As the electric two-wheeler market in India is growing rapidly, Yamaha Aerox-E, New-Gen Bajaj Chetak and Ather EL are three new electric scooters that will soon enter the Indian market. Yamaha Aerox-E

The Yamaha Aerox-E is specially designed for riders who love a sporty look and great performance. It is powered by a mid-mounted electric motor of 9.4 kW, which produces 48 Nm of torque. Combined with the two removable batteries it gives a total battery capacity of 6 kWh and gives a range of around 106 km.

The scooter offers 3 riding modes, Eco, Standard and Power. Besides, Boost Mode helps in faster overtaking. Front telescopic fork, rear twin shocks and dual disc brakes with ABS add to the ride stability. The TFT digital console also features Bluetooth, navigation, ride analytics and OTA updates.

Bajaj Chetak New-Gen Bajaj Chetak

The name Bajaj Chetak has been popular in India for years and now the new generation of this scooter is coming soon in an electric avatar. This model is designed keeping the entry-level segment in mind.

The scooter will get oval LED headlamps, integrated DRLs, a new LCD instrument cluster and a single-unit LED taillight. It will have a hub-mounted motor setup to keep costs down. It will get a 3 kWh to 3.5 kWh battery pack, giving it a range of 123 to 150 km. It is likely to cost less than Rs 1 lakh.

Ather EL

Ather EL will be a family-oriented electric scooter. It can be priced between 90 thousand to 1 lakh rupees. The scooter will support a 2–5 kWh battery and offer a range of 100 to 150 km. It will feature lighter materials, longer service intervals and AI-based smart connectivity.

Ather is going to strengthen its grip in North and Central India with the help of this model. Also they plan to open 700+ stores. This scooter will compete strongly with models like Ola S1 and Bajaj Chetak.
