New Delhi:During the winter season the body needs extra warmth and nutrition. As the cold increases, the immunity often weakens, joint pain increases and many other problems arise. At such a time, it is advisable to include such things in the diet which not only give strength to the body but also help in keeping it warm. One of these is black sesame, which is called the superfood of winter.
Big Ayurvedic experts say that eating black sesame in the right way can provide three special benefits in winter.
According to the doctor, the problem of bed wetting in children and urine leakage in the elderly increases in winter. This problem becomes more visible especially when coughing or sneezing. Black sesame can be helpful in this problem.
How to consume:-
Roast 200 grams black sesame, 100 grams celery and 100 grams poppy seeds in an iron pan.
Add about 200 grams of threaded sugar candy to it and make a fine powder.
Taking this powder 2–3 times a day can provide relief in a few days.
Black sesame is rich in calcium, iron and healthy fats. These help in reducing hair fall by nourishing the hair roots.
How to consume:
Mix 200 grams black sesame, 200 grams amla powder and 200 grams dry coconut and prepare fine powder of all three.
Take 1 teaspoon of the mixture with lukewarm water 2–3 times a day.
According to the doctor, this can reduce hair fall, graying and weakening.
Pain in knees, waist and other joints is a common problem in winter. Black sesame gives both warmth and strength to the body, which can provide relief from pain.
How to consume:
Take 220 grams black sesame, 100 grams dry ginger powder, 100 grams fenugreek seeds and 200 grams jaggery.
Prepare laddus from these and eat one or two laddus daily.
Dr. Sharma says that these laddus act as natural pain relief in winter.
Doctor Robin Sharma says that the nature of black sesame is hot. Therefore, people who have acidity problems should keep its quantity less. If you still feel discomfort, then you should avoid eating black sesame seeds.
