Alejandro Garnacho was seen giving Jamie Gittens a boost as they strolled down the tunnel of Turf Moor on Saturday. Gittens was included in Enzo Maresca's starting line-up for Chelsea's match against Burnley, replacing the Argentinian forward.

However, instead of throwing a tantrum, the 21-year-old displayed his maturity with a friendly gesture as they headed back onto the pitch after half-time. Garnacho was leading the way when Gittens seemed to call out to him, playfully gesturing towards his eyes as if to say he was keeping an eye on him.

Garnacho responded with a grin and a gesture of his own as they moved out of sight of the television cameras. Even though he didn't get a chance to play from the bench, Garnacho made a beeline for the away end at Turf Moor following Chelsea's 2-0 victory to show his gratitude to the fans who had travelled all the way from London.

After the match, when Gittens posted a series of photos on Instagram to commemorate his appearance against Burnley, Garnacho was quick to show his support with a heartfelt comment. He wrote: "Jammmieeee," accompanied by a starry-eyed emoji, to which Gittens replied: "My brother," along with a fingers crossed emoji and a love heart, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Garnacho appears to be hitting his stride on the pitch whilst building solid connections with his new teammates off it. Since his £40million switch from Manchester United this summer, Garnacho has notched two goals and provided two assists across 10 appearances in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Maresca was also quick to heap praise on the youngster earlier this month. He said of Garnacho: "He arrived here from another club where he was not training 100 per cent so his physical condition was not good.

"Slowly, slowly, now it's better. He's doing very well on the ball but he's doing very, very well off the ball. He knows that to play with us he has to be good on the ball and off the ball otherwise he's not going to play. We are very happy with him at this moment."

It's a completely different scenario to how Garnacho was getting on with United earlier this campaign. After being frozen out under Ruben Amorim, Garnacho slammed the club's dismal 15th-place Premier League finish.

He was also frustrated at losing the Europa League final to an equally-struggling Tottenham at the time. He said in May: "It's difficult for all of us. This season has been s***. We lost the final, we didn't beat anyone in PL. It's very difficult."

Manchester United could have done with a bit of Garnacho's magic on Monday night, as they found it tough to break down a 10-man Everton at Old Trafford. Despite having an extra man after Idrissa Gueye was sent off for slapping Michael Keane just 13 minutes in, the Reds couldn't find a way past David Moyes' resurgent side.

The match was stolen by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who netted the decisive goal 29 minutes in, before a Jordan Pickford masterclass denied United of any hopes of levelling. The Red Devils are also feeling the pinch of mid-season injuries, having to rely on Joshua Zirkzee for the full match due to Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko being out injured.

Zirkzee has found it hard to adjust to the Premier League's physicality since his move from Bologna last summer, managing only three goals in England's top tier last season. It'll be intriguing to see how Amorim copes in the coming weeks, especially with Sesko expected to be side-lined until December.

There's no word yet on when Cunha will be back in action, following a knock he picked up in training last week. United's next challenge is Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, 30 November.
