Patna: There has been a major rebellion in the party of National President of Rashtriya Lok Morcha and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha. The trumpet of protest has been raised against the appointment of Upendra Kushwaha’s son, who is not a member of any House, as a minister in Nitish Kumar’s government. On Wednesday, two big leaders of the party have tendered their resignation. In their resignation sent to party president Upendra Kushwaha, both the leaders have said that they are unable to connect themselves with the party’s decision and hence are resigning from their posts.

More than a dozen prominent people, including the party’s national vice president Jitendra Nath Patel, state spokesperson Rahul Kumar, resigned from the primary membership of the party. In separate resignation letters, these party leaders have strongly condemned the activities of party supremo Upendra Kushwaha. National Vice President of Rashtriya Lok Morcha Jitendra Nath has said in the letter sent to Upendra Kushwaha that I have been working with you for the last nine years. But, now I am not able to connect myself with many political and organizational decisions. In such a situation, working together is no longer possible. For this reason, I consider it appropriate to resign from my responsibility and primary membership of the party.

Were against JDU candidate: It is also important to mention here that the district unit of Rashtriya Lok Morcha, including Jitendra Nath Patel, who was a part of the NDA, had openly opposed the NDA-supported JDU candidates in Sheikhpura and Barbigha in the assembly elections. However, JDU had won both the seats with a historic margin.

Who all resigned? : On Wednesday, National Vice President Jitendra Nath Patel along with State Spokesperson cum State General Secretary Rahul Kumar, Pramod Yadav, Rajesh Ranjan alias Guru Ji, District President Pappu Raj Mandal tendered their resignation in Sheikhpura. Along with this, names of Block President Gorelal Kushwaha, Amir Raj Mandal, Vidya Sagar, Prem Gupta, Satyendra Singh are also included.
