Pakistani actress Qudsia Ali has impressed audiences with her natural acting. She made her television debut in the drama Aulaad. In it, she played a child with special needs. Her performance was highly praised. Since then, she has built a strong career. She has starred alongside major stars in dramas like Kuch Ankahi, Aulaad, and Ek Jhooti Kahani.
Recently, Qudsia appeared on Mazaq Raat. She spoke about the challenges independent women face in Pakistan. She said independence often comes with social judgment. Female actors, in particular, are still viewed through a critical lens. Even in 2025, these societal attitudes remain unchanged.
Qudsia shared a personal experience. She recently befriended someone who admired her. However, the person insisted that she leave her acting career to pursue a commitment. She explained, “People admire and praise female stars publicly. But rarely do they accept them as part of their family.”
She emphasized that actresses often face pressure to choose between personal life and professional success. Despite these challenges, Qudsia Ali continues to excel in her career.
Earlier, Recently in an interview with Fuschia Magazin, Qudsia Ali shared her challenges in the industry. She opened up that when she used to go for auditions, people told her that if you want to appear in the mainstream, you have to reduce weight.
“Betiyan” star further added, that on international media Weight, skin, and color are not the parameters to gauge someone’s caliber. We should look into the skills of an actor. This disappointed her to great extent.
She also talked about her weight loss journey and that she never intended to lose weight out of someone’s criticism. It was all her decision when she realized that it is not good for her health and that she needs to shed pounds to remain fit and healthy.
She further told that people often told her that her curly hair made her look fat so she should get keratin treatment but she remained headstrong and enjoy her individuality.
