The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially scheduled its next major recruitment cycle for mid March 2026. The written examination for various categories will be held on March 14 and 15, 2026, a two day schedule planned to help maximise participation and smooth logistics.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a broad range of posts. The vacancies include 4,543 Sub Inspector (SI) positions in the civil police, along with 135 platoon commander posts in the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), 60 posts in the Special Security Force (SSF), and 106 women platoon commander posts intended for newly formed women battalions.
The UPPRPB has urged all applicants to keep a close watch on its official website for further instructions. Essential information such as admit card issuance, exam centre details, and other guidelines will be released solely through the portal.
This recruitment comes after a surge in applicants, with over 16.5 lakh candidates reportedly registered for the 2025 SI recruitment before the application window closed.
Authorities have emphasised that all updates will be communicated only via the official UPPRPB website, urging candidates to rely on verified sources and remain alert for any announcements or changes.
With thousands of positions on offer across civil police, PAC, SSF, and newly raised women battalions, the upcoming March exam marks one of the largest state level police recruitment drives in recent times. Eligible and enrolled candidates are advised to prepare accordingly and stay updated through the board’s official channels.
