Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's transparent, investment-encouraging and industry-friendly excise policy has given a new boost to the revenue system of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2025. The increase in ethanol production and sales has strengthened the industries and made the state among the major ethanol producing states of the country. Rising investments, rising sales and strong industrial activity show that UP's economy has entered a new phase of rapid growth.
141.8 crore liters of ethanol production in 2025
By November 2025, 141.8 crore liters of ethanol was produced in Uttar Pradesh, which is the best figure till date. Yogi government's structural reforms, technological adaption and 'ease of doing business' have given a big boost to liquor, beer, wine and alcohol-based industries.
The sale of 105.25 crore liters of ethanol within the state and 40.96 crore liters of ethanol outside the state has made UP a reliable ethanol supply center of the country. This development has directly benefited farmers, industries and the rural economy.
Investment proposals worth more than Rs 3.07 lakh crore in progress

Expected to create more than 9940 jobs
The big investment proposals in the excise sector are likely to create more than 9940 employment opportunities.
