Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, known for his global fan following, has recently returned to the spotlight with his latest film Dhurandhar. After a series of box-office disappointments, the actor made a comeback with a film portraying an Indian spy sent to tackle gangs in Karachi, Pakistan.
While the film has been commercially successful, Ranveer’s look in Dhurandhar has drawn attention—and laughter—on social media. In several scenes, he is seen wearing a half-sleeve shalwar kameez, a style rarely, if ever, worn by men in Pakistan. The unusual costume choice appears intended to highlight Ranveer’s physique rather than reflect local fashion accurately.
Pakistani viewers quickly noticed the detail, sharing their reactions online. One social media user joked, “They probably thought showing Ranveer’s muscles was more important than accuracy.” Another added, “They think Pakistani men wear half-sleeve shalwar kameez with kajal and taweez.” Many expressed amusement at the attempt to portray local attire, calling it a misrepresentation of Pakistani culture.
If there is one song on everyone’s feed, it’s Sher-e-Baloch and if there’s one name lodged in everyone’s mind it’s Rehman Dakait – the character who, many claim, has completely overshadowed the lead actor Ranveer Singh aka Hamza Ali, thanks to Akshaye Khanna’s surprise swagger.
Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna made a striking entry in the Pakistan-critical propaganda film Dhurandhar. He plays the character of Rehman Dakait.
A video of his entry has gone viral on social media. In the clip, Khanna steps out of a car wearing a black suit. He greets the crowd with local-style dance moves and then joins the crowd in dancing.

According to sources from the film’s production team, Khanna’s dance was not in the script. He spontaneously started dancing during the shoot. Fans have appreciated this unexpected performance.
