Porsche married for the first time in 1970 and finalized his divorce from his third wife in 2023.
He and Leiningen have known each other for more than 20 years, and began living together in January 2024.
Leiningen, 62, comes from the Thyssen family, the founders of ThyssenKrupp, Germany’s largest steel conglomerate. Her own marital history is notable: she married Prince Karl Emich of Leiningen in 1991, divorcing in 1998, and later that same year wed Aga Khan IV, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslim community. That marriage ended in 2014.
Wolfgang Porsche is the grandson of company founder Ferdinand Porsche and has served as chairman of the supervisory board since 2007. Together with the Piëch family, the Porsche family controls Volkswagen Group, Europe’s biggest automaker, through their joint holding company, Porsche Holding.
