Signs of aging and impact of lifestyle

Aging is an inevitable truth of life, but some people appear to age sooner than others. Symptoms like wrinkles, fatigue, stress and lack of energy first appear on the face. At the same time, some people remain active, healthy and happy despite aging. In fact, the speed of aging depends on our lifestyle, habits and mindset.

If you want to keep your fitness, energy and skin young for longer, incorporate five simple habits into your daily life. These habits strengthen your internal health and slow down the aging process.

1. Morning meditation

It is best to start the day with meditation. Just fifteen minutes of meditation after waking up in the morning calms your mind deeply.

Benefits of meditation:

  • stress reduction
  • peace of mind and clear thinking
  • improve memory
  • prevention of mental fatigue

Research shows that people who meditate regularly have a delayed onset of mental aging. Morning time keeps your mind fresh and provides energy for the whole day.

2. Yoga and light exercise

Yoga is considered an effective natural treatment. It strengthens our body from inside and reduces the effects of aging.

Benefits of Yoga and Light Exercise:

  • improve blood circulation
  • joint strength
  • curb weight
  • improve heart health
  • body flexibility

Just doing twenty to thirty minutes of yoga and stretching every day strengthens the muscles and keeps the body active. The risk of problems associated with aging such as weight gain, lethargy and diabetes also reduces.

3. Balanced and nutrient rich diet

Most of the people consume outside food, fried foods and junk food, due to which there is lack of nutrition in the body and early aging occurs.

If you want to be healthy, eat a diet rich in nutrients:

  • green leafy vegetables
  • seasonal fruits
  • pulses
  • Almonds and Walnuts
  • Curd
  • enough water

All of these are rich in antioxidants, which fight weak cells in the body. This improves the skin, keeps the body strong and improves the immune system. With a balanced diet, the effects of age become visible late.

4. Limit screen time

Nowadays the time spent on mobile and laptop has increased a lot. It has adverse effects on eyes, brain and skin.

Disadvantages of excessive screen time:

  • lack of sleep
  • eye irritation
  • dark circles
  • Headache
  • increased stress

Try to take breaks in between and stay away from screens an hour before sleeping at night. This improves sleep and reduces wrinkles on the face.

5. Importance of regular sleep

Sleep helps in repairing the body. If sleep is not complete, the body appears tired and weak.

Benefits of good sleep:

  • Strength in immune system
  • skin glow
  • improve brain function
  • stress reduction

Make sure to take seven to eight hours of sleep daily. Try to sleep early at night and wake up early in the morning. Good sleep helps slow down the aging process.
