The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has opened recruitment for 134 positions, offering a valuable opportunity for candidates seeking a stable government job. The application window, which began on November 24, will close on December 14, 2025, making it crucial for interested applicants to complete their registrations before the deadline. One of the major highlights of this recruitment drive is that no written examination will be conducted. Instead, the selection will be based entirely on screening and interviews.

This recruitment includes openings for various grades of Project Scientist posts, along with several technical and administrative roles. Eligible applicants selected under this drive can receive a salary of up to ₹1.23 lakh per month, depending on the position and qualifications.

What the IMD Recruitment 2025 Offers

The IMD officially launched applications for these posts starting November 24. The department aims to fill multiple positions under the Project Scientist category, which play a significant role in advancing India’s weather forecasting, climate research, and related scientific operations.

Since the last date to apply is approaching, aspiring candidates should ensure they complete all formalities on the IMD website without delay.
