PM Ujjwala Yojana 3.0: The government runs various schemes for the people of the country, the direct benefits of which reach millions of citizens. These schemes aim to make the lives of common people easier, reduce their expenses, and provide basic facilities in their homes. Schemes launched especially for women, the poor, and the underprivileged have become a major reason for social change.

In this context, an important scheme related to cooking is once again in the spotlight. The central and state governments are working together to promote the provision of gas connections to poor and needy people across the country. This aims to provide relief to women from smoke and improve their health. Now, the Manipur government has taken a major decision under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Phase 3.0, which will directly benefit thousands of families.

Ujjwala Yojana Phase 3.0 Announced in Manipur

The Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution of the Manipur government has announced the provision of free LPG connections to women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Phase 3.0. This step is part of the initiative to provide 25 lakh additional free LPG connections announced by the central government.

The objective of the scheme is to empower women, improve their health, and make cooking safer. Women suffer the most from the smoke caused by cooking with wood and cow dung. Receiving an LPG connection will not only improve their health but also save them time.

These Women Will Benefit

The eligibility criteria and documentation for Ujjwala Yojana Phase 3.0 have been made simpler than before. According to Rajjyoti Das, Divisional LPG Sales Head of Indane Divisional Office Silchar, many families in rural and difficult hilly areas were previously excluded from this scheme.

The focus of the new phase is to reach such families. The government has set a target of providing 25 lakh free LPG connections in the year 2025-26. Eligible families are urged to come forward and avail themselves of the benefits of this scheme. Adopting clean and safe fuel will significantly reduce cooking-related problems.
