Patna. Bihar government has taken a big step to curb the years-long delay in land matters and the arbitrariness of zonal offices. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has made it clear that now the work to reclamation will have to be completed within the stipulated time limit. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in this.

On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister cum Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, the department has fixed the time for execution of the applications received through Parimarjan Plus portal. Its objective is that the tenants can get land services on time and they do not have to make rounds of offices.

Through Parimarjan Plus portal, errors to name, father’s name, caste, address, account, khesra, area and tax can be corrected in digitized Jamabandi. Besides, the facility to register the Jamabandi which has not been done online till now has also been given through this portal.

According to the new instructions, correction of clerical or typographical errors will now be done in a maximum of 15 working days. At the same time, a limit of 35 working days has been set for rectification of other types of jamabandi mistakes. Apart from this, cases requiring online completion of missed Jamabandi and land surveyors will be mandatorily completed in 75 working days.

The government has also clarified that if an application is returned for correction, the time spent pending in the applicant’s login will not be included in the calculation of working days. With this, an attempt has been made to make the process transparent and equitable.

In this regard, all the District Magistrates have been instructed to ensure the execution of the applications received on the Parimarjan Plus portal in their respective districts within the stipulated time. Besides, instructions have also been given to identify those officers or employees who show negligence or laxity and take disciplinary action against them and inform the department about it.
