There's big news for aspiring teachers. Only three days are left to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Interested candidates can apply until December 18, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this date.
When will the exam be held?
According to the board, the CTET February 2026 exam will be conducted on February 8, 2026. This exam is considered mandatory for becoming a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other central government schools across the country.
Who can apply?
For CTET Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5), candidates must have at least 50% marks in their 12th standard. A D.El.Ed. or equivalent course is also required. In some cases, candidates with a graduate degree and a B.Ed. Degree can also apply.
For CTET Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8), candidates must have a graduate degree along with a D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. qualification. For eligibility and other details, please check the official website.
Application Fee
The application fee is determined based on the candidate's category and the paper(s) chosen. For General and OBC category candidates, the fee is Rs. 1000 for one paper and Rs. 1200 for both papers. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs. 600 for both papers. The fee can only be paid online.

Register, log in, and fill out the form.
Upload your photo and signature.
Pay the fee and submit the form.
Make sure to take a printout of the application for future reference.
