Fatima Amjed, the rising star of ARY Digital’s drama Main Manto Nahi Hoon, recently performed at Hum Bridal Couture Week 2025. She was the showstopper for designer Zeeshan Tariq on the first day of the event.
Fatima wore a multilayered Banarasi anarkali in dull golden and mint green. She paired it with an embellished maroon and golden dupatta. During her Kathak performance to the OST of HUM TV’s Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, her twirling anarkali revealed her legs. She performed without pants or a traditional bottom.
The bold outfit choice sparked heavy criticism on social media. Fans wrote that the dress was too revealing and inappropriate. Some asked why she did not wear a shalwar or trousers. Others called her performance “over-bold” or attention-seeking. One comment even said, “I thought those were men’s legs.”
Before her acting career, Fatima worked as an entrepreneur and educationist. She is also a professional Khattak dancer and teacher. She actively promotes this traditional dance form in Pakistan.
Fatima Amjed is not just an actor — she’s a Lahore-based entrepreneur, educationist, artist, and trained dance performer. Her journey into acting may seem sudden, but her background tells a different story. A graduate of Lahore Grammar School and later the National College of Arts, Fatima is self-taught in the performing arts. She credits her love for Urdu to her father, whom she describes as a great artist and her biggest support system.
“My father was protective and hesitant when I stepped into media, but he never stopped me. Today, he respects my work,” she shared in a candid conversation on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show.
Fatima openly discussed her privileged background, admitting, “This isn’t my bread and butter. I don’t have to worry about bills, and I know that’s a privilege.”
Currently single, Fatima is hopeful about love and dreams of performing for the man she falls for. “Love changes with time. It’s no longer about Bollywood romance but about maturity and balance,” she explained.
