Radhika Apte who made people go gaga with her performances in films like Andhadhun Padman Parched and many more recently dropped bombshell revelations about South Indian movie sets. The actress who has worked in Hindi Tamil Telugu Kannada Bengali and Malayalam-language films recalled an awkward experience from a movie set where she was asked to do odd things that left her speechless. Radhika Apte Makes Shocking Revelations About South Indian Movie Set During an interview with SCREEN Radhika revealed that early in her career limited authority and financial struggles often placed her in uncomfortable situations. She added that pressing financial needs led her to take up work in South Indian films. She said “Some of the films that I did I had a really difficult time on those sets. I remember there was this one time when I was the only woman on set. We were shooting in this small town. They wanted to add more padding on my bum and breasts. They were like ‘Amma more padding!’ I said ‘How much more padding?’ How much rounder would you make somebody?” ‘Never Want to Do Something Same’: Radhika Apte Despite considering herself an outspoken person Radhika was taken aback after working on South cinema sets. The actress said that even if she were given an option she would not want to go back to the same situation. Radhika revealed that working on that particular set took a toll on her mental health and she would cry herself to sleep if she had to go through something similar in her life again. Apte also wished that no other woman goes through the same experience. Radhika Apte shared that she did not have a manager at the time and since the role was assigned to her her entire team comprised men. Radhika Apte became a huge name in Bollywood when she featured in Sriram Raghavan’s 2015 film Badlapur. She has also been a part of films like Kabali Vetri Selvan and All in All Azhagu Raja.
