An illegal migrant went on a furious rampage at the home of her former-lover after she was jilted by him. Adriana De Silva, 40, hurled racist abuse at him, as well as smashing windows at his property with stones, a court in Falkirk was told.
In total, she caused over £6,000 as she gave full vent to her anger. De Silva arrived at the victim's house in an Uber on August 29, after he had "abandoned" her in South Queensferry. She proceeded to attack both his car and home from the outside, before entering the premises to continue her rampage.
De Silva smashed up a TV set and ripped off blinds from windows, as she moved through the house.
The defendant pleaded guilty in court to reckless destruction of property at an address in Longdales Road, New Carron, the Falkirk Herald reports.
Bernadette Cuthbertson, prosecuting, said: "It was 5.30pm and the witness arrived back home and parked his vehicle in the driveway.
"At 6.30pm the accused has arrived in a taxi and the witness has seen her exit and walk towards the address, shouting and screaming.
"She called him a racist name and then approached the bins and threw litter across the address.
"She then picked up several rocks and used them to smash holes in three large glass window panes. She picked up more rocks to smash his car windows."
De Silva was in the country illegally at the time of the offence and is now officially classed as an asylum seeker.
She was described in court as someone with an "interesting personal story".
De Silva has been placed on a community payback order with the condition she complete 120 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
She is also subject to a non-harassment order to stay away from and not have any contact with the man in this case for two years.
