As Kartik Aaryan gears up for the release of his upcoming romantic film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri the actor is not just busy promoting the movie but also addressing a tag that has followed him for years. Slapped with the “playboy” label due to frequent dating rumours Kartik has finally spoken his mind and his response is clear calm and firm. The Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday starrer is set to hit theatres on December 25 and the lead pair has been actively promoting it across platforms. During one such interaction Kartik was asked about his much-discussed love life and the image that media speculation has built around him over time. In a recent interview with Filmfare Kartik openly denied being a playboy. “I was never a playboy. I have always been loyal. Always” he said putting an end to assumptions that his relationships overlapped or were casual in nature. The actor explained that most of what people believe is shaped by headlines timelines and gossip. “There is always a certain perspective created by the media relationship timelines rumours stories. I’m talking in that context. There was never any overlap. These are all assumptions” Kartik clarified. Why do actors’ personal lives get exaggerated? Kartik admitted that being a public figure means constant attention especially when it comes to personal matters. However he believes things are often blown out of proportion. “I never talk about my relationships. Every actor has stories made about their personal life. When you are in this industry everything gets exaggerated” he said. He added that even normal experiences like college romances are quickly labelled and counted. “People start numbering and tagging relationships even when many of those things aren’t true” Kartik shared. A look at Kartik Aaryan’s dating rumours Over the years Kartik’s name has been linked to several actresses. His reported relationship with Sara Ali Khan during the filming of Love Aaj Kal 2 in 2020 grabbed major attention though the two later went their separate ways. He was also rumoured to be dating Janhvi Kapoor and later Ananya Panday but none of these were ever officially confirmed. Time and again Kartik has maintained that he is single and focused on his work.
