Brick is usually used to build houses, but can it also be used for cooking? This question may sound strange, but a video going viral on social media has forced people to think. In this video, a person has prepared such a homemade heater using ordinary bricks, on which food is also shown being cooked. However, as interesting as this Jugaad is, it is also considered equally risky.
This video has been shared on an Instagram page Maximum_manthan. In the beginning of the video it is shown that first a brick is taken. Then a special design is carved on that brick to make a heater. This design is wavy i.e. spiral shaped, so that heat can spread. After this, a wire or heating element is fitted in that shape, which gets heated when connected to electricity.
Further in the video it is shown that this indigenous heater is plugged into an electric socket. As soon as the current flows, the brick starts heating. Then a vessel is placed on it and the cooking process is shown in it. Visually, this entire experiment looks like a science project, which has increased people's curiosity.
Many people are surprised to see this video on social media. Some people are finding this jugaad quite useful, especially in situations where gas or stove is not available. Many users have praised it and called it an example of desi mind. People say that Indians find new ways even with limited resources.
However, there is no dearth of people expressing concern about this video. Many users believe that this type of heater can be extremely dangerous. There is a high risk of electrocution by using electricity with bricks and open wires. If there is even a little carelessness, this experiment can cause a serious accident. For this reason, many people have clearly written in the comments that one should think a hundred times before trying such a trick.
Some users have also reacted in a funny manner. Someone wrote that he is the real engineer, while someone said that this Jugaad should not go out of India. Many people are considering it an example of indigenous innovation, while some are calling it a dangerous experiment done just to go viral on social media.
