Months after losing their father the siblings marked the festive day in a quiet yet meaningful way reminding many of the bond they shared with him. Kareena Kapoor’s Christmas post Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram stories to share moments from Christmas. She first posted a picture of a decorated Christmas tree with an ornament that read “Christmas at the Pataudis.” Soon after she shared another picture that drew attention. The image showed Samaira and Kiaan from behind both wearing matching jerseys with “Aureus Polo” written on them. Along with the picture Kareena wrote “My Christmas Angels” expressing her affection for her niece and nephews. The post quietly highlighted how the children chose to remember their father by wearing something closely connected to his passion. A heartfelt tribute The jerseys worn by Samaira and Kiaan belonged to the Aureus Polo team founded and captained by Sunjay Kapur. He was a well-known name in the polo world and his team won several championships across India the United States and the United Kingdom. By wearing these jerseys the siblings paid a heartfelt tribute to their father’s legacy and love for the sport. For the unversed Sunjay Kapur passed away on June 12 2025 at the age of 53. He collapsed during a polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor UK. Reports later stated that he suffered an anaphylactic shock after accidentally swallowing a bee which stung him inside his mouth. His sudden death shocked the business and sports communities. About ongoing legal battle Following Sunjay Kapur’s death a legal dispute began over his multi-million-dollar estate worth Rs 30000 crore. Karisma Kapoor approached the Delhi High Court alleging that Sunjay’s will was forged. These claims have been denied by Priya Sachdev’s legal team. Sunjay’s mother Rani Kapur also raised concerns regarding the reporting of bank balances. The court has concluded hearings and reserved its order on the interim injunction which will play a key role in deciding the future course of the inheritance case.
