Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom producer, Sandeep Singh, escapes unhurt from fire, as Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain step in to help

A frightening fire broke out in a high-rise building in Andheri West Mumbai on Thursday morning triggering panic among residents and emergency responses from authorities. Among those affected was well-known filmmaker and Mary Kom producer Sandeep Singh whose home was in the part of the building that caught fire. What could have turned into a much more serious situation ended in relief as Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain stepped in to help Singh escape safely and take shelter.
The shocking incident
On Thursday morning a large blaze erupted on the 12th 13th and 14th floors of a 23-storey residential building in Sorrento Society Andheri West Mumbai. The thick smoke and flames caused alarm among residents and many were temporarily trapped on higher floors before being guided to safety by firefighters.
According to fire officials the Mumbai Fire Brigade quickly brought the situation under control and managed to confine the fire mainly to the 14th floor. Emergency response teams worked to evacuate residents from refuge areas in the building without reporting any injuries.
Sandeep Singh escapes unhurt
Filmmaker Sandeep Singh known for producing films like Mary Kom starring Priyanka Chopra Sarbjit starring Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda Aligarh starring Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao and more has his residence on the 14th floor of the building. At the time of the fire he was reportedly not at home and was recovering from a recent hernia surgery. This ensured that he did not suffer any physical harm in the incident.

As news spread of the fire close friends Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain stepped in to provide immediate support. They took Singh to their residence so he could stay safely away from the chaos and smoke especially considering his recent medical condition. The gesture has been widely appreciated by fans and followers online.

Visuals shared by local media showed Singh at a hospital briefly where he appeared calm and in stable condition. Social media users praised Ankita and Vicky for their prompt help during the emergency.
