Yogesh Patil was earlier dependent on traditional farming, where earnings were limited and the financial condition of the family was not strong. But when veterinary doctor Ajay Raghuvanshi informed him about these two schemes running as per the priorities of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, Yogesh immediately applied. Taking advantage of both the schemes, he started animal husbandry. Today he has been engaged in this business for four years and his hard work has paid off.
Yogesh Patil is now rearing 50 milch animals. His farm produces 3 to 4 quintals of high quality milk daily, which is in high demand in the local market. Because of this, his annual income has reached Rs 10 to 15 lakh. Earlier, the marginal income from farming only has now doubled; along with farming, additional income is being generated from animal husbandry.
The biggest thing is that Yogesh is now providing employment to 10 people of the village. This directly realizes CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh’, where animal husbandry not only increases individual income but also generates employment at the rural level.
Under Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme, 25-33% subsidy and bank loan facility is available for setting up a dairy unit for milch animals. This scheme has been started to increase milk production and empower animal farmers. Whereas Acharya Vidyasagar Cow-Promotion Scheme focuses on conservation of indigenous cow progeny and increase in milk production, in which loan and grant of up to Rs 10 lakh is available.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has resolved that Madhya Pradesh will soon become the ‘Milk Capital’ of the country.
